Summer: Summers in TRNC
welcome a season of very hot weather where the temperatures are high, the skies
are cloudless and there is no rainfall. July and August are the hottest months
of the year and the temperature varies between 34 °C to 40 °C.It lasts from
mid-May to mid-October. Whole inland enjoys high sunshine. For this season very light summer clothing is recommended and make sure you wear sunglasses, comfortable slippers , a hat and apply plenty of sun cream.
Take a bottle of water with you where ever you go.
Spring: The spring lasts from mid-February to mid-May. Because of the occasional rain an umbrella with you and jackets for chilly evenings is recommended in order to keep you warm. However, there are plenty of warm and sunny days under the sun.
Autumn: In TRNC autumn is a short period that lasts from mid-October to mid-December. Generally it is a season of pleasant warm and sunny days, with occasional rain and chilly evenings
Winter: The weather temperature during the coldest months changes between 5 and 15
degrees. The Kyrenia Mountain area gets more rainfall than any other part of the island and the temperatures are lower when compared. Winters are mild with little rain and a very rare fall of snow which is mainly only the Kyrenia Mountains. More or less rainy and humid winter lasts from mid-December to mid-February. You should be prepared for all the kinds of weather. In the interior of the island the temperature during the coldest months is between 7 and 17 degrees.
So don't forget your blankets and winter jackets.
The average rainfall all year round is 402 mm to 750 mm depending on the region and city and snowfall is not typical of North Cyprus. The whole island even in January experiences at least five hours of sunshine throughout the day.
