North Cyprus Hospitals
North Cyprus offers good health services and there are very good hospitals and
medical facilities. The medication prices are extremely reasonable compared to
other European countries and the service is astonishing. Doctors working in
these hospitals have received their degrees from universities in Turkey, UK and
the USA and are all qualified.
TRNC Central State Hospital
The Central State Hospital also known as the “Burhan Nalbantoglu Hospital”
is the hospital that is most developed in service. It is located in Nicosia. This is where
major diseases and incidents are treated.This is the only hospital that has an intensive care
unit. Only from this hospital patients can be transferred into other hospitals in other countries.
Other Hospitals
However each city has its own hospital and there are other smaller hospitals in
Kyrenia, Famagusta, Guzelyurt and Lefke.Medical treatment is free of charge.The Famagusta Hospital has been moved to its new building on the Salamis Road.The building and equipment are all of the finest quality.
All hospitals have an emergency care service and have doctors on duty for 24 hours.
Private Hospitals
There are also private clinics in small towns and villages but the medical treatment offered here is not free of charge.Tip Merkezi, Cyprus Life Hospital, the

Most people prefer going to private clinics rather than state hospitals where there is an appointment system rather than a line up system.
