Legal Requirements For Wedding in North Cyprus Firstly, and most importantly, marriages in TRNC are legal, accepted and recognised worldwide as being legitimate, meaning anyone, from anywhere, can legally wed in the island. The law in Cyprus is based on English law which simplifies the whole marriage process, making it easier to understand, and also meaning that wedding services and marriage documents are all in English Language. Legal requirements that must be fulfilled for a wedding to take place, include the bride and groom being in in TRNC for at least 6 days prior to their wedding. It is imperative that the Bride and Groom to bring their birth certificates, decree (if previously married and subsequently divorced), Certificate of No Impediment as well as their passports with them to North Cyprus. |
